Changes to Terminal 4 parking from 23 June

From 23 June 2026, the Terminal 4 multi-storey car park (for Terminal and Meet & Greet Parking) has closed as part of a major redevelopment programme to modernise the terminal's forecourts and car park, improving passenger experience.

All passenger parking for Terminal 4 will move to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride car park.

Central security queues performance

As part of the economic regulation of Heathrow, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) introduced a service quality rebate scheme on 1 July 2003.

The scheme was reviewed and extended by the CAA during the price control review for Q5 (March 2008) and Q6 (March 2014) to include new measures, increased standards to existing measures and an increase to the amount of revenue at risk.

The aspects of Heathrow's performance measured includes queuing at the departures security area.


The performance reports for our Border Force and Central security queues reports have been consolidated into a comprehensive performance report that encompasses measures, targets, and incentives.
