We've listed out some of the colleague travel offers and discounts across our bus, coach, and rail network.
Travel for free between Terminals (including Cargo Centre) on the H30.
The H30 connects Terminal 4 with Cargo Centre and Terminal 5 up to every 20 minutes during the day, 7 days a week.
In the early morning, the route extends between Hatton Cross, Terminal 4, Cargo Centre, Terminal 5, and the Central Terminal Area, up to every 20 minutes between 03:30 and 05:00.
Team Heathrow colleagues and passengers travel for free. No need to present your ID, just hop on!

Elizabeth line (only applies to HAL, HEx, Heathrow Rail)
Starting 14 August 2023, colleagues directly employed by Heathrow Airport Limited or Heathrow Express will be able to receive 50% off single, return and point-to-point season tickets for travel between certain stations and “Heathrow Rail” (”Heathrow Rail” covers all three stations at Heathrow). Only tickets between “Heathrow Rail” and the following stations are eligible for the 50% discount.
The 50% discount is only available from staffed ticket offices at Acton Main Line, Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall, and Hayes & Harlington. You must show your valid Heathrow ID to ticket office staff.
Check opening times at: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/elizabeth-line/. Colleagues are not permitted to travel without a valid ticket. TfL will not be required to offer refunds to any colleague prevented from buying discounted “Heathrow Rail” tickets. Please always treat station staff with respect.
Heathrow Express
Team Heathrow colleagues with a valid airport ID can take advantage of a 75% discount on single, period return and carnet tickets* for travel in Express Class. Purchase on the HEx App, from the service Support Assistants (SSAs) at Heathrow stations, or from the Great Western Railway (GWR) ticket office at Paddington Station (*discounted carnet tickets are only available from SSAs at Heathrow). When using the app, please select “Heathrow Airport Partners Discount” in the ‘Railcards’ section when you search for tickets.
Directly employed HAL colleagues should look at the ‘People site’ on Hub+, then click on “Rewards, Planning & Insight” and “Benefits” for details of the voluntary free travel options currently available.
Route A40/N40 - Elizabeth line stations to Heathrow
The A40 runs from Victoria Station to Heathrow, via Elizabeth line stations every day at 02:15, reaching the Central Bus Station at 03:45. The service continues to T5, Cargo, and T4. See the timetable here.
The N40 runs from Ealing Broadway to Heathrow, via Elizabeth line stations every day at 01:20, reaching the Central Bus Station at 01:55. The service continues to T5, Cargo, T4, and Hatton Cross. See the timetable here.
Route N30 - Piccadilly line stations to Heathrow
The N30 runs from Acton to Heathrow, via Picaddilly line stations on weekdays at 01:19, reaching the Central Bus Station 02:12. The service also calls at Hatton Cross, Cargo, and T5. See the timetable here.
Travel for just £1 by presenting your Heathrow ID to the driver.
FREE BETWEEN T2&3 and RENAISSANCE HOTEL (H2X)
Team Heathrow colleagues travel for free in both directions on Hotel Hoppa's H2X bus service between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 to Renaissance Hotel (for Heathrow Academy). Just show your Heathrow ID to the driver.
All H2X Hotel Hoppa buses scheduled to serve the Renaissance Hotel will be heading to Terminals 2 and 3, but please ask the driver just to be sure.
TEAM HEATHROW DISCOUNT ON ALL OTHER ROUTES
A discounted fare of £1.20 per journey is offered to Team Heathrow colleagues on all other Hotel Hoppa routes. Show your Heathrow ID to the driver.
The National Express Airport Coachcard is now available to Team Heathrow colleagues and gives a 1/3 off Standard and Fully Flexible fares throughout the UK for 12 months. There are no restrictions on peak and off peak travel times, including public holidays and weekends.
You can purchase one for £5 (plus £2.50 postage) by calling the Customer Contact Centre on 0871 781 8181 (calls cost 13p per minute, plus your phone company’s access charge). Alternatively, you can buy one from the We Know London desks at Heathrow, by showing your Heathrow ID.
Coach tickets can then be purchased online at www.nationalexpress.com, by ticking the ‘I have a Coachcard’ box in the passenger details section, and then selecting Young Persons Coachcard.
10 pack of single tickets for £57.50 (available on all routes)
A pack of 10 single tickets is available from the First Commuter Travel Club for just £57.50. Enter the unique code H3ATHROWCTC21 at www.firstbeeline.co.uk/ctc.
Season ticket for Reading (RA1), Guildford and Woking (RA2)
A 4-Week Season ticket can be purchased on the First Bus App for just £120. A monthly ticket is available from the First Bus App, www.railair.com, or Reading Station ticket office.
Gatwick
To support Heathrow colleagues who live near Gatwick, a new 12 trip Gatwick to Heathrow ticket is available to Team Heathrow colleagues for use on the Airline coach. The price is £90 (the equivalent of £7.50 per trip), saving 50% compared with the standard single fare of £15. A return journey is 25% off the standard return price of £20. Oxford To Heathrow Bus - the airline (theairlineoxford.co.uk)
You'll be prompted to download the Oxford Bus app, where you can purchase these tickets by selecting "Mobile Tickets".
High Wycombe
An annual season ticket for £1000 is available for use by Team Heathrow colleagues on the Airline coach service between the park & ride facility at Handy Cross (next to junction 4 of the M40) and Heathrow. It can also be used on Carousel Buses at no additional cost. Or buy a 12-trip ticket for £70. To purchase, visit www.theairlineoxford.co.uk/oxford-to-heathrow-bus and scroll down to “The airline fares” and click on “Discounts for Heathrow Staff”. The pass is issued on a smartcard, so please allow time for postage.
Or purchase Carousel Network tickets - £12 a day, £45 for any 5 days, £39 for 1 week, £120 for 1 month.

Oxford
Travelling from Oxford to Heathrow? An annual season ticket is £1750, and a 12-trip ticket is £90.
Your Heathrow ID must be shown on every trip and all tickets will expire 12 months after purchase. Airline coaches operate 24 hours a day between Oxford and Gatwick via High Wycombe and Heathrow. For more details, please visit www.theairlineoxford.co.uk.
Route A4, 7, 8

Team Heathrow can purchase ‘Heathrow Zone’ annual tickets between Bricket Wood and Heathrow on the Arriva Bus App for £530. Team Heathrow can also sign up for Direct Debit of just £44.16 per month with no fixed period, so you can cancel your ticket at any time.

From August 2024, the new N555 service will run late evening and early morning services to Walton-on-Thames. See the timetable here.

For a limited time only, single fares from Camberley, Frimley and Bagshot to Heathrow are just £2. Travel from Basingstoke on a through ticket via Camberley for just £4. Tickets are available to purchase onboard.
The 446 service which runs between Woking, St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, Staines, Ashford Hospital, Heathrow Terminal 4 and Hatton Cross every hour during the daytime on weekdays. The bus also stops outside the main gates to Thorpe Park on Staines Road.
Travel for less with Team Heathrow discounts:
To help with the cost of living, the Government introduced a bus fare cap which was due to expire on 31 December 2024. We're happy to share that this scheme has been further extended beyond this date.
Please note that not all bus operators at Heathrow are participating in the scheme, but Team Heathrow shouldn't have to pay more than £2 on any bus service, as alternatives were introduced in 2022.

The Heathrow Express, Elizabeth line, and Piccadilly line provide free inter-terminal transfers during the day.
Journeys on trains are free, but Oyster or contactless is required to activate ticket gates at stations. Alternatively, if using the trains between terminals, you can collect a free train transfer ticket at train stations.
Team Heathrow travel free on the colleague bus services between Heathrow-managed colleague car parks and the Central Terminal Area, Terminal 4, and Terminal 5.
N1, N5 to Terminal 5
The NT5 bus service runs between N1 and N5 to Terminal 5 every 3-10 minutes.
Pick-up times are:
N1: 00:00 to 05:00, 11:00 to 00:00
N5: 05:00 to 11:00
You must show your Heathrow ID to the driver.
N4 to Terminals 2&3
The N4 bus service runs between N4 car park and Terminals 2&3 every 6-10 minutes, all day and through the night. Colleagues can also use this service to reach the Compass Centre.
PEx to Terminals 2&3
The PEx bus service runs between PEx car park and Terminals 2&3 every 3-10 minutes, all day and through the night.
S1 to Terminal 4
The S1 bus service runs between S1 car park and Terminal 4 every 6-10 minutes, all day and through the night.

The following bus services link Terminals to the Compass Centre:
Compass Centre to Terminal 5 Shuttle
This service runs three times an hour, weekdays between 07:50 and 18:08. Hop-on at the staff bus stop (31) at Terminal 5, or by the Compass Centre main reception entrance.
The service breaks during the quietest point in the day, with no services between 12:30-14.30.

Terminals 2&3 to N4 Car Park
The service runs 24-hours from the staff bus stops at Terminal 3 and Terminal 2. Hop-on at the staff bus stop (1-2) at Terminal 2, or the staff bus stop (opposite Cafe Nero) at Terminal 3. The N4 bus drops off at the car park near the Compass Centre, ask the driver if you're unsure.
For travel from Compass Centre to Terminals 2/3, hop-on at Newbury Road bus stop.

Central Bus Station to Compass Centre (route A4)
The A4 route, operated by First Beeline, runs between the Central Bus Station and Compass Centre.
Show your Heathrow ID for free travel on these services.

We classify Team Heathrow as anybody with Heathrow ID (the passes issued by the Heathrow ID Centre). You must have your ID with you when purchasing and using the discounted tickets. However, many items discussed in this guide will also be available to non-Heathrow ID holders.
