Heathrow rail engineering works: 16 & 17 November

Due to planned engineering works, there will be no Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line services to or from Heathrow on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November.

Piccadilly line services will be running as normal on both days.


Passengers should plan their journeys before travelling, and allow for additional time where necessary as trains that are running will be much busier than normal.

At Heathrow, we are committed to take action to prevent recruitment scams and we will work with all the relevant authorities in case we are made aware that such illegal activities would take place.

We want to raise awareness of this issue in order to protect the people of might fall victims of recruitment fraud as well as dissuade potential scammers from attempting to pursue this criminal activity.

Recruitment fraud is usually perpetuated by advertising and offering fictitious job opportunities via legitimate online services, bogus websites and unsolicited emails. The offers claim to originate from a company, such as Heathrow Airport. These activities are aimed at obtaining sensitive information and/or financial benefit from the people who have been scammed.

The fraudulent offers often ask the recipient to complete recruitment documentation in order to obtain personal information. Additionally, they may ask the recipient for a payment, which would be justified as required to settle a recruitment fee.

For you to recognise such a scam, please be aware that at Heathrow:

  • We will never use a mobile phone number as a primary contact number
  • Our employment policies and procedures require all external candidates to apply via our careers website and have at least one interaction with our colleagues either in the form of a virtual or face to face interview or assessment centre.
  • Candidates who seek employment with us are never required to pay us any sum of money in advance
  • We never ask for money transfers or payments from applicants to secure a job or a visa to enter into the UK, either as an employee or as a contractor
