Heathrow rail engineering works: 16 & 17 November

Due to planned engineering works, there will be no Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line services to or from Heathrow on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November.

Piccadilly line services will be running as normal on both days.

Passengers should plan their journeys before travelling, and allow for additional time where necessary as trains that are running will be much busier than normal.

FAQs

With the launch of our refreshed Heathrow 2.0 sustainability strategy, being more sustainably conscious is a key topic when it comes to getting to Heathrow. We’re aiming to give colleagues all the information needed to make more sustainable choice with how they get to work.

You can see what benefits can be found when choosing specific sustainable commutes, but the main reason for choosing a better commute is cutting down on our emissions and doing our part to make Heathrow a great place to live and work.

The Sustainable Travel Zone Colleague Guide is regularly updated with the latest travel news and information. The pages also include details on travel offers and discounts.

Visit us at our monthly Way2Go Roadshow across airport terminals and other campus locations. Come along to find out about the latest travel news, advice on travelling sustainably, and to pick up some freebies and giveaways.

All trains between terminals are free, as well as the H30 bus which runs between Hatton Cross Station and Heathrow Terminals.

Heathrow Express/Elizabeth line: Please obtain an Inter-Terminal Transfer ticket from the machines at the station.  Alternatively, you can use an Oyster card (with sufficient credit) or a contactless card/mobile device. You will not be charged for your journey between Heathrow terminals.

Piccadilly line: You will need an Oyster card (with sufficient credit) or contactless card/mobile device. You will not be charged for your journey between all Heathrow terminals and Hatton Cross.

Yes. Car share with Liftshare is open to all Team Heathrow colleagues, no matter the shift pattern. We suggest adding more than one journey to your Liftshare account, for greater chances of finding a match. For example, you could share with one buddy on the way to work, and with another on the way home.

If you or your car share buddy has had an emergency and no longer able to car share on the journey from work, please contact Commuter@Heathrow.com. If out of hours, please visit the Sustainable Travel Zone Colleague Guide for alternative options.

We know that colleagues who cycle or walk to work may need changing facilities. We are looking into all colleague shower facilities at the airport and will share details soon. In the meantime, please email Commuter@Heathrow.com for help.

Motorcyclists can park free of charge in any of our motorcycle-dedicated parking bays, which are located across the campus. However, any bikes parked in locations other than in the designated bays will be removed. Please always remember to lock your motorcycle securely.

Park your motorcycle at the following locations:

  • Terminal 2: On Conway Road - access via Inner Ring East.
  • Terminal 3: At the back of the short stay car park 1A/5, to the right of the exit - access via Chester Road.
  • Terminal 4: Opposite the arrivals forecourt - access via Swindon road only
  • Terminal 5: Next to the short stay car park, at the northern end. There is additional parking within the over height area on the ground floor of MSCP5 - access via Wallis Road.
  • Compass Centre: East and West entrances.
