If you have an accident at Heathrow we may collect the following information about you:

• Name
• Employer Name (only if your employer operates at Heathrow Airport)
• Employer Address (only if your employer operates at Heathrow Airport) •
• Age
• Gender 
• Home Address (if not employed by Heathrow Airport Ltd)
• Details of accidents, Injuries or Illness occurring whilst at Heathrow Airport.

If you are driving or are a passenger in a vehicle that is involved in an accident at Heathrow then we may also collect the information show below:

• Vehicle Make
• Model
• Registration Number 
• Driver address
• Driver phone number
• Names of any passengers

Employees and/or Agents of Heathrow acting on behalf of Heathrow collect information about accidents, injuries and illnesses occurring at Heathrow Airport. This information may be entered directly into the Heathrow accident and incident database, Airsweb. If direct entry into the database is not possible at the time when details are taken, then the details may be transcribed onto a paper accident form prior to being entered onto our database. Any paper forms are securely destroyed once they are on the accident and incident database.

Heathrow will use your personal data for a number of purposes including the following:

• Comply with its Legal obligation of reporting RIDDOR (The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013) and other reportable incidents to the Health & Safety Executive..
• Analysis of accident and incident trends to measure performance and put measures in place to help prevent further incidents. We will keep your information within Heathrow to be accessed by staff who maintain the database/are involved in reporting the incident/monitor safety at the airport. 

Your information will remain within Heathrow except where disclosure is required by law, for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies Your information is processed only in the UK and is not moved or transferred overseas. Your information will be retained in a secure environment and access to it will be restricted according to the 'need to know' principle.

Your information will be retained for a period of six years from the date the incident occurred at which point it will be depersonalised and stored for data trending purposes for a period of 15 years. The only exception to this will be Asbestos exposure incidents which we are legally required to retain for a period of 40 years.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

• Be informed as to how your data is being processed;
• Access your personal data by making a subject access request;
• Rectification, erasure or restriction of your information where this is justified; 
• Object to the processing of your information where this is justified;
• Where applicable, you have rights in relation to data portability; and
• Where applicable, you have rights in relation to automated decision making.
