Heathrow rail engineering works: 16 & 17 November

Due to planned engineering works, there will be no Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line services to or from Heathrow on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November.

Piccadilly line services will be running as normal on both days.

Passengers should plan their journeys before travelling, and allow for additional time where necessary as trains that are running will be much busier than normal.

Future leader graduates

Rotational

Graduate Future Leadership Development Programme

The scheme

You’ll undertake three six-month placements over the course of 18 months. These will expose you to our business from the frontline to the boardroom and enable you to acquire essential leadership, commercial and project management skills.

  • Operational placement
Through collaborating with our colleagues and carrying out projects in the operation, you will be able to get a real understanding of how we run one of the world’s busiest airports in areas like passenger services, operational planning and security.
  • Non Operational placement
This will typically be in an area like our Customer Function (such as retail, marketing or airline engagement),  Solutions (such data, process improvement or PMO), Strategy (such as planning, forecasting, data insights, communications or sustainability), where the projects you work on will give you real insight into how we develop and deliver solutions to support our passengers and be a profitable business.
  • Tailored placement
Your third and final placement will involve opportunities to hone your skills.   The type of role will depend on your personal strengths and preferences.  We’ll work with you to find a placement that stretches and challenges you, whilst helping develop your strengths.

Supporting you for success

Throughout the programme you will be supported by a dedicated mentor who can answer any questions you may have about the organisation and help you find solutions to any challenges you may face. Plus, you will have a ‘buddy’ to show you the ropes until you find your feet. In the final months of the programme, you will also have the support of a senior sponsor from our leadership team. They will be there to help you build your networks, challenge your thinking and unlock opportunities.

You will also go through a structured learning programme, providing you with all the tools to build a career at Heathrow. From here you can go anywhere.

Where do you take your career next after completing the scheme? The possibilities are almost endless. Previous graduates have gone into every area of our business, from frontline operations to infrastructure development, to one of our award-winning head office teams.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who are keen to explore new things, who enjoy a challenge and who want the opportunity to work in different areas of Heathrow to help build capability. It’s also important for you to demonstrate a can-do attitude, integrity, and a real passion for living our Heathrow values.

As well as having great people skills we are looking for individuals who drive success, have strong communication skills and can adapt to change.
