Heathrow rail engineering works: 16 & 17 November

Due to planned engineering works, there will be no Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line services to or from Heathrow on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November.

Piccadilly line services will be running as normal on both days.

Passengers should plan their journeys before travelling, and allow for additional time where necessary as trains that are running will be much busier than normal.

Q6 update

On 10 January 2014, the CAA published its Notice of the proposed licence for the economic regulation of Heathrow from April 2014 to 31 December 2018,

Following the Government’s 2016 decision to support Heathrow expansion, the CAA extended the current Q6 regulatory period by one year, until 31 December 2019. The CAA modified Heathrow’s licence to this effect on 21 December 2016 under section 22 of the Act. The modification rolls over the existing control in the last year of Q6 on the same terms, i.e. a price path of the Retail Price Index (RPI) -1.5%.

To ensure that the price control period remains aligned with the process of expansion, the CAA has since decided to further extend the Q6 period by two additional years, until 31 December 2021. The CAA is currently consulting on the methodology to be used for this further extension.
