Heathrow rail engineering works: 16 & 17 November

Due to planned engineering works, there will be no Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line services to or from Heathrow on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November.

Piccadilly line services will be running as normal on both days.

Passengers should plan their journeys before travelling, and allow for additional time where necessary as trains that are running will be much busier than normal.

Family facilities

There's a wide range of family services and facilities, from complimentary kids' meals, dedicated play areas and family-friendly parking.

Travelling with babies

At Heathrow, we try to make travelling with a baby as easy as possible.

Taking baby food, breast milk and prepared milk through security
  • While there are restrictions on the liquids you can take in your hand luggage, when travelling with a baby, you’re allowed to take enough baby food, sterilised water, prepared baby milk and expressed breast milk (up to 2 litres) for the journey.
  • Due to the security testing process, any expressed breast milk to be carried in hand luggage must be in liquid form, not frozen.
  • Any additional liquids will need to be packed in your checked-in baggage.
  • Expressed breast milk up to 2 litres is permitted even if you are travelling without your baby.

Reserve & Collect baby milk service

If you want to pick up baby milk or baby food at the airport rather than carrying it through security, we can have it ready for you at the airport after security.
