Heathrow rail engineering works: 16 & 17 November

Due to planned engineering works, there will be no Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line services to or from Heathrow on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November.

Piccadilly line services will be running as normal on both days.

Passengers should plan their journeys before travelling, and allow for additional time where necessary as trains that are running will be much busier than normal.

What is Park & Ride Terminal 5 Parking?

Heathrow Park & Ride at Terminal 5 is the cheapest of Heathrow’s Official Parking products, offering you great value for money along with a secure and convenient parking experience.

Formerly known as Long Stay Parking, our Terminal 5 Park & Ride offering is served by free shuttle buses running between the car park and entrance to Terminal 5 every 15-minutes.

Park & Ride is also a suitable option for making any pick-ups or drop-offs, as stays of under 30-minutes are free of charge, with drive-up prices applying thereafter.

Where is the Terminal 5 Park & Ride car park?

The Terminal 5 Park & Ride car park replaces the former Terminal Long Stay car park, keeping the same location. Road signs around the airport still refer to Long Stay Parking Terminal 5, though remain valid to follow.

Located on Heathrow’s Northern Perimeter Road, the car park is perfectly positioned for access from the M25 and M4.

From the M4, leave at Junction 4 and join the M4 Spur Road. At the end, pass under the bridge, and take the exit on the left. At the following roundabout, take the third exit, before turning right at the traffic lights on to the Northern Perimeter Road. The entrance to the car park is clearly signposted on the left-hand side.

M25 users should exit at Junction 14, taking the Terminal 5 Slip Road. At the roundabout, take the first exit, and follow the road round to the mini roundabout, where you join the Northern Perimeter Road. Continue along this road, with the entrance to the car park being on the right-hand side after the car rental area.

How does Park & Ride at Terminal 5 Work?

  1. Book in advance – To get the best price for stays over 24-hours, we recommend booking your parking in advance. You can do this by using the widget at the top of this page. For shorter stays, including pick-ups, drop-offs, or any other stays less than 24-hours, please pay at an on-foot machine in the car park upon exit.

  2. Arrive on time – When you arrive, your number plate will be read, and if you have pre-booked, a ticket will be issued with your booking reference on. A ticket will also be printed if you press the button, which you should do if you are staying for a shorter period.

  3. Parking-up and getting to Terminal 5 – Once you have parked, make note of your zone and nearest bus stop. Buses run to the doors of Terminal 5 every 15-minutes, with transfers taking as little as 15-minutes between 04:00 and 23:30.

  4. Returning to your car – Pick-ups for the Terminal 5 Park & Ride car park take place from Bus stop 21. Once back at your vehicle, drive to the exit gates, where the barriers will open if you have pre-booked. Payments should be made at on-foot machines before heading to the gates if you are paying on the day.
